The Importance of your Girl Gang

Today marks the beginning of the 22nd birthday celebrations (22 AAAH), feels like I blinked at my 21st birthday party and now we’re here. The girls and me are off out for plenty laughs and plenty cocktails so today seemed the appropriate time to release this post. This is just a short one where I want to take the time to talk about how important it is to have a solid circle of friends in your life and how much I appreciate mine.

As I’ve grown up through my life I’ve met and encountered a lot of people, some who have had a positive impact on my life others not so much but all of them have taught me something about myself and shaped me into the person I am today. My closest friends have guided me so much over the years, what I like about myself and the times I’ve kicked myself for the decisions I’ve made but they have also shaped me into the me I am today. A girl who wants to be the best version of herself every single day and your girls should be your biggest fans and supporters always. If they don’t believe in you and your ambitions, you don’t need them!

Since leaving school I have done a lot of growing up, I’ve filtered out all the negative people in my life and I now have the greatest group of friends I could have ever wished for. We all love each other for who we are individually and respect each other’s differences. The differences are what makes your friendship unique and why groups mesh so well together. The test of a great friendship is the ones who stick around and are there for you through the good times and the bad making your bond stronger than ever. You need those people in your life you can call at any time of the morning and you know they would be there in a heartbeat. The people who shy away when you’re at your lowest point and struggling are not good friends. You have to be able to rely on your girls to be a constant support and shoulder to cry on but you also need them to be brutally honest and at times judgemental but in the best way. At the end of the day your friends are the ones who know you best and will make you realise sometimes your acting a bit crazy and bring you back to earth.

It’s a proven fact that spending quality time with your nearest and dearest reduces your stress levels and boosts your self confidence and self esteem. So think of your besties as the best type of therapy!!

– “A good friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you” (Engert Hubbard)

So maybe I’m biased but I feel so lucky to have the best girl gang around they all know who they are. So thanks for all the memories girls and for always being my biggest supporters I love ya’s!!! And to all of you reading thank you so much! #GIRLPOWER
